Sumosan was open its first Alpine outpost at the heart of Courchevel 1850 within Six Senses Residences Courchevel in mid December, offering its signature sushi and contemporary Japanese dishes. Sumosan is proud to announce the opening of its second Middle Eastern location in the capital of Saudi Arabia. The restaurant is located in Laysen Valley, one of Riyadh’s upcoming and most prominent real estate projects, a stone’s throw away from the Diplomatic Quarter. Laysen Valley is a mixed-use complex consisting of residential, commercial and retail buildings as well as international dining outlets. Designed by the internationally acclaimed interior design firm of Paul Bishop, the space is sleek and ultra-modern with warm and earthy accents, complemented by wooden panelling and statement chandeliers. The dining room boasts a theatre kitchen where guests can watch the chefs at work.

In September 2014 the Sumosan group has introduced a new concept called Buba By Sumosan. Serving the high-quality Japanese produce that the Sumosan brand is known for, Buba by Sumosan aims to capture the wider audience with a moderate price tag. The menu includes a variety of Sumosan’s recognized dishes as well as bespoke simplified options carefully created by the brand chef.
